    The Client


    A leading pediatric facility in the South, this client is internationally recognized for its full service pediatric care and research. It is also one of the largest and most pediatric hospitals in the United States.

    The Challenge

    Like all healthcare organizations, the client was facing uncertain economic and legislative changes that required cost saving measures and better forecasting capability. The client had over 40 vendors and a highly decentralized process. The net result was different rates for the same positions as well as shift differentials, completion bonuses, rapid response rates and crisis rates. With significant expansion plans for its facilities, the client desired to optimize their full-time, part-time, and contract staff to reduce costs and generate efficiencies. They also wanted to maximize savings associated with contract staff support and at the same time increase quality. One of their additional goals was to provide quality technical staff for their investments in technology where talent in the market was scarce. The client wanted to ensure its IT projects were staffed in a timely manner and at the best market prices. As the entire contract labor process was decentralized, they were also spending a lot of resources to manage vendors and ensure compliance with state, federal and other regulatory agencies.
